SUMMARY:Kaleidoscope Surprise Quilt with Alice
DESCRIPTION:Join us in creating a masterpiece! We’ll manipulate our fabric in this class in such a way that many could use the same fabric to create an entirely different quilt. \n\nCreative Grids 45° Kaleidoscope & Dresden Plate Ruler (CGRTKAL45)\nRotary cutting mat (We do have shared cutting stations if you’d prefer not to bring along\n6½” x 24” ruler\n60mm Rotary cutter with a new blade (with a blade that you can expose – we will be cutting through 8 layers of fabric)\nFlower head pins (I recommend Clover brand – but not the ones for fine fabric)\nFabric requirements:\n\nThe center of this quilt is made from a single fabric. Pick a print that has fairly large motifs. (you may use a quilter’s design mirror to help you). If the fabric you choose has closely spaced motifs and not a lot of color variation\, you’ll produce a quilt with a subtle\, blended look. If you’d like your quilt to have more contrast\, choose a fabric with motifs that are more widely spaced or that contain more colors. Motifs that are randomly spaced throughout the fabric work well. Small\, tightly spaced motifs or ones that have straight lines or linear elements often do not work as well. When you have found a fabric that you’d like to use\, measure the pattern repeat. Select a fabric with a 12” to 24” repeat. (The greater the repeat\, the more variety of blocks you’ll produce) Buy enough fabric for eight repeats plus a little extra. With a 24” repeat\, this will be 5 ½ yards. Please call or email if you have questions about fabric selection. I suggest that you wait until your quilt center is complete before you make a decision on border fabrics\, but if you’d like to use your main fabric as a border\, purchase an extra yard.\n\n\n\nEVENT SCHEDULE:\nPart 1: May 9 10AM – 2PM \nPart 2: June 13 10AM – 12PM \nPart 3: Reunion TBD

SUMMARY:Retreat at Quilting Legacies – April 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for 3 days of open sewing here at the Quilting Legacies Workshop. Everyone is welcome to join; come make new friends here at the shop. Share your tips and learn from other quilters – we’re always learning something. Your retreat can include a hotel package or you can commute from home. \nDouble Hotel Occupancy: $300/ per person (Must book prior to 4/10/2026)\nSingle Hotel Occupancy: $450/ per person (Must book prior to 4/10/2026)\nSleep at Home: $150 (Can book anytime before the event) \nEnjoy daily sewing from 8 AM–7 PM in our spacious classroom\, plus fresh-baked treats each morning and delicious catered dinners at the shop. You’ll also get access to shuttle service\, in-store retreat specials\, and fun extras like hands-on machine demos. \nYou’re welcome to bring treats to share – food and drink are welcome. We also have space for you to plug in appliances such as crock pots and kettles. We’ll supply the coffee and water!
