School Pride Wall Hanging

Show off your school spirit with this fun and meaningful quilting project! In this class, you’ll learn how to transform a favorite school t-shirt into the centerpiece of a one-of-a-kind wall hanging. The t-shirt will serve as the middle panel, surrounded by coordinating fabrics and borders to create a finished piece that’s perfect for graduation parties, dorm rooms, or as a keepsake for proud parents.

We’ll cover how to stabilize and prepare your t-shirt for quilting, how to design a balanced layout around your shirt, and tips for choosing fabrics that highlight school colors. Students will also learn simple piecing techniques and options for quilting and finishing their wall hanging.

By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a completed (or nearly completed) wall hanging that celebrates your school pride in style!

Skill Level: Confident beginner and up
Bring: 1 clean t-shirt, your sewing machine, and power cord and bobbins. OPTIONAL: Bring a Free motion quilting foot
